The vegetable marketing scheme
should be run on commercial lines and
finance required for capital expenditure
obtained by loan.

This proposal is acceptable in prinsiple,
but full consideration mist await the
appointment or the senior Agricultural staff,
when detailed estimates can be worked out.
The cost of these surveys could be
from one of the allocations for Central
8chemes show in enclosure 2 to circular
despatch of 12th November, 1945, (Omă,6713).
It will, however, be impossible for them to
ve undertaken during the next
years
because of shortage of technical staff and
üigh priorities for surveys of a similar
nature in other Colonial territories.
